The sun is shining, the flowers are blooming and boredom is already setting in with children/youth this summer. We can help! 2-1-1 Information and Referral of Utah's Volunteer Center invites children/youth age K-18 to get up, get out and make difference this summer with our Summer of Service program.
Who: Children/Youth ages K - 18
What: Children/youth staying active, gaining skills and making a difference serving this summer
When: June 1 to August 31
Where: Any agency, group or individual needing your help!
How: Provide 5, 10 or 25 hours of volunteer service and reflect on service
Why: To help the community and to receive a bronze, silver or gold Certificate of Service
Follow these five simple steps:
1. Pick a service opportunity that works for you. Here are some suggestions:
- Get creative and think of your own service project (help an elderly neighbor, babysit for free)
- Places to volunteer (sorted by age groups)
- Places to volunteer (sorted by type of volunteer opportunity)
2. Register for Summer of Service (REGISTER)
3. Contact the agency, group or service organization you are interested in helping
4. Complete and submit required Service Journal by September 3 to Amy Bosworth at:

5. Attend our Celebration of Service recognition event on September 9, 2010 at 7 p.m. More exciting details to come!
